- Mentions that she walked behind the Chinese Ambassador down Portland Place and noticed that his shoes were "light coloured and turned up at the toes" and that he had a dark blue coat and cape. Hopes that the children are enjoying their holiday and asks for her things to be sent. Signed "much love to my darling children from their loving Mother."
