- Inscribed 'for Gail & Roger / Richard Shirley Smith 4 April mmii.' While most important for its reproductions of Shirley Smith's paintings and collages and his carefully compiled list of 281 framed and three-dimensional works, this book also contains a useful chronology of his personal life and professional career up to 2000. Also listed are the main exhibitions, trompe l'oeil mural decorations, periodical articles, and illustrated reference books—many of which are included in this checklist. However, the list of illustrated books is incomplete due mainly to Shirley Smith's modestly concerning the journeywork of his early career. This copy retained by donor.
