- Piozzi plans to travel to London to visit her daughters. Piozzi still grieves for her husband, but has received some comfort from Salusbury settling her "future concerns". She plans to stay at Jackson's Hotel in London because she "cannot bear either Society or Solitude" and she quotes a newspaper paragraph about her husband's burial.
