- John James Ruskin [Ruskin's father] tells Le Keux that he has received Le Keux's letter and proof of the capital of The Oxford Museum [frontispiece for The Oxford Museum, 1859, titled British Ferns.] He says that his son is away and may not return within the next ten days. John James Ruskin tells Le Keux that his son would expect him to send the engraving to the publisher, Smith & Elder Co. John James Ruskin has informed his son that Le Keux's proofs have arrived and has sent Le Keux's letter on to his son for his response.
