The collection comprises correspondence and other manuscript material concerning the family of Augustus Welby Northmore Pugin (1812-1852). Approximately 50 items in the collection directly concern A.W.N. Pugin, including his correspondence, lecture notes, and accounts. Principal correspondents include William Leigh, John Fuller Russell, and Ambrose Lisle March Phillipps De Lisle.
A large portion of the collection comprises correspondence of Catherine Welby Pugin (1768-1833), primarily with members of her family, including her siblings Selina Welby and Adlard Welby.
