Notes:
"This collection of bronzes came out of the collections of the Palazzo Gaddi, Palazzo Marucelli, and the antiquary Philipp von Stosch (1691-1757). We have considered Stosch to be the seller of the lots specified as coming from his collection. We have considered Palazzo Gaddi and Palazzo Marucelli to be previous owners for the lots specified as coming from those collections. See the article about this sale by Malcolm Baker in the Collectors Files ..."--Getty provenance index databases.
