There is an inked stamp and an embossed stamp at the head of the document. The document is followed by various signatures from the involved parties as well as 5 small, discolored pieces of cut paper adhered to the bond, possibly where wax seals were once placed.
Bond of Indemnity, also known as a bastardy bond, identifying Thomas Roxby as the father of the female child that Elizabeth Brown gave birth to and declaring him responsible for the birth, education, and maintenance of the child. Other named individuals include possible witnesses, members of the parish, and Thomas Roxby's sureties.
