Notes:
First original English book to deal wholly with perspective. Written by Moxon because of his dissatisfaction with the English translation of Serlio's treatise, A book of Perspective and Geometry, 1657. This work predates Robert Pricke's Magnum in Parvo by two years, and also his Perspective Practical which did not appear until 1698. William Salmon's Polygraphice did not contain the section on perspective until the third edition of 1675.
Engravings attributed to James Moxon (the younger) and William Faithorne. Cf. British Architectural Library.
"First edition. Most of the plates are taken from the Perspective of Hondius (1623) ... as mentioned by Moxon in his preface"--Fowler.
Signatures: [A]² B-S².
Two of the diagrams are movable. One in the text (p. 7) contains the original pane of mica; plate LVII has a moveable part.
