'Mechanick exercises' was issued in 14 parts, in monthly numbers, beginning in 1677 and ending in 1680. It describes the materials, tools, operations, and terms of smith, house carpentry, and turnery. In 1700, nine years after Joseph Moxon's death, another numbers was issued on bricklayers' work, presumably by Moxon's son, James. This number was added to a third editon published in 1700. Cf. Harris.
