Selected exhibitions: “The Cottage of Content : or, Toys, Games, and Amusements of Nineteenth Century England" (Yale Center for British Art, November 2 - December 31, 1977).
BAC: British Art Center copy includes a manuscript "Description of the panorama" on 8 pages (2 sheets), written in black ink. The first sheet bears an unidentified blind stamp at upper left. It's possible that the text is copied from a printed description, now lost. The descriptions provide straightforward accounts of each of the nine background scenes, e.g., for Scene 1: "A scene in the desert, camels watering in the background near two tombs. 1. The camel. This useful animal is invaluable to people who are obliged to make long journeys across the desert ..."
