- British Art Center copy does not have plate opposite p. 881 in vol. 1 as described by Adams (the panorama of London by and after John Swertner). Instead, a map of "London after the fire" has been substituted, which is different from the one placed opposite p. 505.
Plates engraved by James Neagle, George Murray, Charles Pye, Samuel John Neale, Philipp Audinet, W. [William?] Knight, Thomas Tagg, James Sargant Storer, J. Dadley, [Thomas] Hall, [S.?] Sparrow, William Angus, and Owen; after Edward Dayes.
Hunter began the work in 1796 but left it unfinished at his death in 1802. John Stockdale engaged other hacks to complete the work by 1800.--cf. Adams.
