Notes:
A mid-18th century treatise on perspective, illustrated with 47 pen and ink diagrams and illustrations in the text. The first section deals with general principles, an is followed by descriptions of the perspective of shadows, and the perspective of landscape. The illustrations are well executed, and may be the work of a professional artist. The treatment of some of the subjects, particularly the use of chairs to demonstrate lines of perspective, is reminscent of Malton's treatise, but none of the illustrations are copies from this work.
