BAC: British Art Center copy 1 comprises (in order): half-title page (or sectional title?), title page, introductions to the four parts, and the 101 leaves of plates in alphabetical order; with part titles omitted. Paper is watermarked 1798 throughout. Plate captioned 'North Berwick plate 1' was printed in error with the vignette intended for the 'Berwick Castle' plate and the correct vignette is pasted over. Bound in quarter calf with marbled boards. Stamp of the library of the Society of Writers to the Signet, Edinburgh.
BAC: British Art Center copy 2 comprises (in order): title page; introduction and plates to part 1; half-title (or sectional title?), introduction and plates to part 2; title page (dated 1793) and preliminaries to parts 3-4, followed by the remaining plates.
