Lettered in black ink, lower center: "Having got knowledge of my coming many of the Town rushed out with Clubs and Stones | and Fishing Poles, crying, Kill him; knock him on the Head, but the Lords Power preserved me, and at | length I got up upon my feet; but they beat me down again into the Boat: which James Lancaster | observing, he presetly came into the Boat, and set me over the Water from them; but while | we were on the Water within their Reach, they struck at us with long Poles, and stoned us."; lower right: "George Fox his Journal.
