The microcosm, constructed by Henry Bridges is " ... an infinite variety of moving figures" representing the Nine Muses, the various orders of architecture, the Ptolemaic system of the universe, a true representation of the Heavens all "... moving round in their periodical times, always corresponding with the heavenly bodies, provided the clock is kept going"--p. [11].
