John Eames (1686-1744) was a tutor of theology and the natural sciences and friend of Sir Isaac Newton. The 1726 edition of Isaac Watts's treatise on astronomy and geography was dedicated to him, but he is not known to have published any works in his own right. Cf. DNB.
