The Reverend John Collinson was Rector of Gateshead from 1810 to 1840, and then Rector of Boldon from 1840 to 1857. His wife Amelia (née King) bore no fewer than 15 children, including daughters Fanny (b. 1807), Harri (b. 1815), Emily (b. 1816), and Charley (b. 1817), who married Charles Rawson.
